At PPG 4 Well now the year is 97 It feels like hell, cause it sure ain't Heaven. We are empowered and how’s this sound? This plant is falling to the ground. It makes you think, that’s what they want. Just to prove their little point. They will not say empowerment failed. They won't admit their train derailed. They'd be willing to lose it all, Than to admit they made a wrong call. They need to go on and throw in the towel, Start over again and make a vow. To run this plant the way they should, Get rid of the bad and keep the good. They say they care, but that’s a lie. Because they will not here our cry. If you don't work, they do not care They pay you just for being there. We're tired of seeing the other guy - Not do a thing and still get by. Then we hear, we're in the red. Our budgets cut, that what is said. Your job is cut, your pay is too. You get moved from crew to crew. Screws up your life, and this gets old. A permanent place you'll never hold. It is not us that is to blame. We're only a pawn in their little game. If it fails, we all will lose. But it's not us that gets to choose. What are the rules, they change so fast. New ones are made, but they don’t last. It used to be they rode your back. But now the rope has it much slack. To get hired here, you must pass the test. But this don't prove you'll do your best. They will not hire the ones in need, With tons of bills and kids to feed. Now they would work, this much is true. It's not a choice.. When you have to. Each year gets worse than the year before. If it stays like this we'll all be poor. If you don't think these words are true. Then come down to the workers view. It's very bad you must confess, This plant is really in a mess. To management some advise to you. Help the needs of the many! Not the needs of the few! Written by: Donna L. Eaton This was written by pure inspiration from working here Almost 20 years. The plant motto when I came here was "A concern for the future". We want to know is this still? So? And Who's Future. |
