A Life Each life is born into this world, for reasons yet to see. A given time- for us to use, as we think it should be. As we search to find our role, and differences we make, we will walk our separate trails, in paths of life we take. Some trace footsteps of the wise, or tread the great unknown. Some will do as they’ve been told, their path is not their own. Now we grow and soon we learn, our choices become clear, what we’ve done with our own life, might be our greatest fear. As our impressions leave their print on all that we have met. Was it the mark that touched a heart or scar they won’t forget? Did we waste the time we had, or use it carefully? Did we succeed to share God’s love bestowed on you and me. When death puts out the detour to that temporary road. We wonder what we now shall reap, for all we may have sowed. As you cross that darkest valley, could you see right through, if all the tears of those you blessed were candles lit for you? By: Donna Lynn Eaton inspired 2/18/04 |
